New yet familiar function in MR9

A client requested feature has been added to MR9 — and if you use MR8 it will feel familiar.

Tracking Notes Log Analysis returns

Found in the Reports module in MR9, Tracking Notes Log Analysis revives the Tracking > Log Analysis function in the Production module of MR8. Like the MR8 version, you can see how many notes about tracking items were made today or for a specific date range, broken down by who entered the associated part or by order number.

You can create different reports using the function’s search parameters so you can see reports for one or more tracking items, notes types, and/or business units. You can also pull up reports for single order numbers or individual staff members.

Useful report

Like the MR8 version, with the MR9 interactive report you start with a high level overview which you can drill down through to see greater levels of detail.

If you searched by who entered the part, the initial view is the list of staff members who made the notes with the number of notes each made grouped by year. You can drill down to see note totals broken down by note type, month, and/or quarter. All report views include grand total amounts for each user. Searching by order number is similar except instead of staff members and note types listed, it shows amounts by order and part number.

You can still have an Excel version of the report like in MR8. All interactive reports in MR9 can be exported in Excel format to save, share, and use in other applications. And like all functions in MR9, you can see how to use the function by clicking the Help button in its header to open the MR9 user guide.
